**My latest adventure.. "will be down off air for a few months"!
November 30th, 2024 ! **


***As of November 30th, 2024.. Well.. Bought me a bigger, new to me, home that is about a block away from where I have been for the past 5 years. Its away from these damm power lines I have been dealing with also! Be glad to get away from the RF noise too! I was not looking forward to moving in the cold of winter, but, thats the way its happening for now. Depending on how everything goes, and of course, the weather over the next few months, not sure exactly when I'll get everything set up over at new place. Spring time maybe? Been living in a 1 bedroom apartment and its getting a little cramped anymore.

***As of December 29th, 2024.. Well.. Been spending off and on times moving back and forth to new place. NICE having a LOT MORE room inside to live, and not crash in to the corners when gittin up in the middle of the night to go potty! The weather has not been too bad as to coldness for my movings. That part has helped good. WOW though, after having been living in that little apartment for the past 5 years.. dang lots of stuff accumulated... dusty.. cat hair..(Ya, I have 3 indoors cats;) ! I saved doing the outside antenna tear downs and move until last of course. Finally be over with everything at old place in a couples days. Added a couple pics from today on here below.

***As of February 20th, 2025.. Well.. I figured I better say something on here as to whats been happenin. Did finally get it all done and out of the old place. Have been livin in new place actually since December 20th, just before Christmas time. Got all my stuff and radios-antennas over to new place, but they are in storage for now. Winter too windy and cold to be doing anything outside yet. I had thought about setting up radios where I will be having them inside, but couldnt use them anyways without antennas for now. Soo.. no big rush on it yet, inside or outside cuz of winter weather times. All for now... 73!

***As of April 8th, 2025.. Well.. Yes its been a while here. This winter hasnt been fun at all this year! Lots more high winds than a year ago winter was. Not making it fun at all to do anything outside. There have been some days, at least a couple now and then, when it has warmed up enough outside to at least think about getting the outside antennas all set up, but thats about it for now. Hope to git started outside sometime soon.. whenever it ever gits a steady outside warm enough temperature to do anything outside with more than just a couple days. Time will tell..

***As of July 31st, 2025.. Yes, its been a while for me.. Yes.. I am still alive here! I still have not gotton around to getting my radio room set back up at my new to me place yet. Still have to run a seperate 220-240 AC wire line in to room for amplifier also. Plus, this past winter super dry and windy, also, this summer so far, super hot and windy all the time. Its icky dry around here!

I am hoping to be back set up and running sometime in the next month. Before winter gets here for sure! I noticed in one of the SSB Net reports, someone had mentioned about the 430-440 deal with the FCC possibly selling off some of OUR frequencies there. Thats wrong I say! HAM radio Operators were there / are here first! I was thinkin about getting a beam antenna for 420-450, particularly the M2-440-18X, but when I saw about that FCC crap, I have second guessed whether to do that or not. My radio does have the capability for those freq's, but only 6 watts QRP to it. I'd probably have to get a 80-100 watt amp for it. Its all about the cost and how useable or not it would be for now. Time will tell...

This is whats left to take down, when I left old place on December 30th, 2024. Still a little bits to do. Gittin there with it all.

Leavin old place with all antennas, except for the one I still have to take down, along with all the pushup masts. Gona be a while still, before Spring Times git here at new place, for warmer decent weather to start with mountin everything back up in the air! So far as of December 29th, 2024.
