ABOUT ME - KF6ELU

I was an old CB Radio nut from back in the 1970's. Always had this thing for doing SSB with it the most. Like the idea when conditions were right, to be able to talk to people farther away, other parts of the planet, than usual.

There was a time that I was living in Portola, CA back in the mid 1990's. I had met and talked with a few people in the area on CB. One of them, (silient key) Dave - KA6QAY, introduced me to, (silient key) Alex - KR6G. They both talked me in to getting in to Ham Radio. 1996 was when I got my first license. The old 'no-code tech' as they called it.

Even to this day, I still am the 'Tech' license. I never did, or have, upgraded license wise. I did back between 1997 and 2004, got real big and heavy in to 2 meter SSB during those years. It was in 2004, that I began to loose the interest in radio, sold the Kenwood TS711A that I had, and just stayed using 2 meter FM after that.. barely. That has gradually faded out over the years also.

At the end of 2016, I have finally retired from that rat race they call the work place boolshit! I have gotton back more in to Ham Radio stuff. I have been more active, and getting radios and gear set back up to what I enjoy'd. I am back, and using, in to 2 meter SSB, 6 meter SSB, and also 10 meter SSB nowdayz.

So far, I am DO NOT live in Susanville, CA.. any of that worthless State area for the past 3 decades now anymore!! I no longer live in Cali-frukin-fornyuhh anymore.. to Hell with that state!! Living in old home town of Wendover I grew up in back in the 1950s-1960s. Still the small, but grown some over the decades, but still quiet and home.
