I heard some other Ham Radio friends of mine, talking about these "dongle" USB things that you could buy and set up your own SDR on your PC, with free software. So.. I got me one, with cable adapter to go from the SMA connection to a SO239 to hook some kind of antenna to it!!

This is the dongle and cable that I bought to start with. Finally got it all hooked up and running about a week later.

I am running the HDSDR program on my PC.

For now, I have been running it on my Hour Glass 2 meter antenna I made a few months ago. Its up at about 20 feet.
