**My latest 'Antenna Farm modifications'
project started way back on March 10th+, 2022 !**

(About the Pic's and info below here)
And so.. my new PROJECTS finally beginz now that the weather is getting warmer!

*** As of April 20th, 2022.. Still waiting for the weather to cooperate, for longer than just one day with warmer temperatures and no winds. Hopefully sometime this month April.. or beginning of May? Hmmm...!? Time will tell..

*** As of June 26th, 2022.. Temps have been summer now around 90-100 during the daytimes HOT sombich outside now! The winds are not as bad as they have been in the past. Am now planning on getting started with the main beam going up higher, over the next who knows how many weeks. Gittin up early in the mornings when its somewhat cooler and doing little bits to it all each morning. Times will tell..

As of November 28th, 2022.. Temps were still summer too damm HOT around 95-105 during the daytimes this past summer! Have been trying to get up real early and brave the heat to start raising antenna masts, with the help of a friend. Did get the extra top mast pushed up, to where I am back at least, to where I originally was before starting the project, at about 40-45 feet. The last and lower pushup sections, have not happened before winter cold temps got in the way, to get it up fully where I wanted it at 60-65 feet. I did get the bracing on the adapter I made to go between the two masts finished. It is ready for pushing the whole thing up yonderz.. but probably will not happen until next year sometime! The last few pics at bottom of page here, is where I am currently at with it all for now.

As of December 18th, 2023.. Well.. since I first started the project over a year ago, have not got a whole lot done. Either been too HOT out, or too COLD out, and no people to help with my getting the thing up higher like I have been wanting too. Now that it is winter cold again, goin to be a while, sometime next year 2024, that I get back to the whole thing again. BUT.. there is also the possibility that I will be moving to a different place in town here, so I dont want to get too much up higher for now, or too carried away, until I know for sure if and when that might happen.
This is what I am eventually working towards doing style>>>
My total overall plan right now, will be to add a 2nd Cushcraft 13B2 to stack with my 1st one, whether I am here, or finally moved to my newer place. Going higher for now wont be my priority just yet. Getting the 2nd beam added to it is first process. I am eventually planning on getting 2 more 13B2's and having 4 of them stacked and up as high as I can get them, over the course of next year. As usual.. time will tell..

As of February 4th, 2024, I just ordered another Cushcraft 13B2 for my 2nd beamer to stack up yonderz. Should be here sometime this next coming week. Then, it's just a matter of my getting the antenna boom assembled in the 3 sections it is, in home cuz it's warmer. Then, outside once it gets warm enough, to assemble the whole thing, check SWRs to match my other 13B2, lower it all down, and put the 2 on mast, and raise back up in air.
As usual.. time will tell..

This is the way everything looks like before finally beginning. Beam is at 40-45 feet right now. Gradually, early in the mornings before it gets too frackin HOT.. do a little each day. June 24th, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
This is the mast apapter that I made out of exhaust pipe reducers. The small end will go on the top of the exsiting mast, while the bigger end, will be the bottom of the next 22-23 foot mast. June 26th, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
This is what the pipe adapter would look like with it on top of the existing mast. Of course, it will be permantently screwed on to the top, so it will be secured right. June 26th, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
This is what the adapter would look like connected to the bottom of the 22-23 foot mast. Of course, screwed securly with it also. June 26th, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
This is my first day morning, and what it all looked like after lowering the beam and mast down. June 28th, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
Finally got around to cutting my needed 3 lengths of 70 foot long guy wires. The cables are the 1/8 inch steel aircraft stuff. July 1st, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
Finally have the 3 lengths of guy wires and the new extra 22-23 foot length mast on the roof now. Just waiting for another cooler morning to start the beam teardown, and stuffs. July 1st, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
This is what it looks like on roof for now. Will be adding a new length of coax for it also. July 1st, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
This is what it all looked like when I got done with what I could before it got too HOT to do much more. Got the beam and rotor off the top of first mast. July 2nd, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
Did get the other shorter piece of coax off the beam, and started mounting the new length to it all. July 2nd, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
Closer look at new coax mounted on beam down to the rotor so far. July 2nd, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
A full view of what still has to be done with everything. It be gettin there. July 2nd, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
Another little bit closer view of everything yet to be done. Lots of other antennas up on roof too. Its the only place I have to store them for now.. oh well. July 2nd, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
Full view of how far I got with everything so far. Oh ya.. there are 2-10 element Cushcraft beams, and 1-8 element cubical quad beam in all that too! Of course, they all be 2 meter antennas. July 2nd, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
Did finally, later on in the day, brave the frackin HOT heat, and get up on roof and get the 2nd mast screwed on to the top of the original one. Its not perfectly straight with the lower one, but that can be compensated with the top-top guy wires and beam position when the time comes! July 2nd, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
This is another view of the mast adapter section I made, all screwed together to the top of the bottom one. Yes.. its not perfectly straight, but that can be fixed later when its all up in the air. The fun part of it all, is when I gotta get the help, to push the whole thing up in the air, and anchor guy wires stuffs! July 2nd, 2022.

(Pics below here info)
This what it all looked like at the end of the day. Had enuff for today. Hopefully, tomorrow, I have it all the way up in yonder air space, where I want it to be! July 2nd, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
Well.. another morning day with trying to get everything done. Had to lower the top of the bottom one down, past the roof eve edge so I could get the top mast low enough to get the beam and rotor back on top. I know.. looks like a major fuster cluck huhh The guy wire plate that still has the cables going to it, is actually the top of the bottom mast! July 3rd, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
This was as far as I got today with it all. Did get the 3 rolls of guy wire attached to the top of upper mast. Did tighten everything enough to be able to use it for the Sunday evening SSB Net that I do with southern Utah. Hopefully still be able to get down thatway. Only at 20-25 feet with the beam right now. Rotor working OK, and was able to get it pointed the right direction.

(Pic below here info)
Closer up view of it all, and pointed to the south. Did check SWRs of where its at. Good at 1:1-1:2 with it all. Just barely pointing under the big power lines that are behined and near me. Once I eventually git it all up higher, as this next week comes along, will be at least 10 feet above those yucky power lines! July 3rd, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
Another view of what it looks like for now. About 20-25 feet above ground for now. Do have a friend in town here, that has a bucket truck. Rather than try pushing the whole thing up by hands, if it doesnt cost me too much, I gona go the bucket truck way with gittin it all up yonder higher! July 3rd, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
This is not all the way up in the air just yet, of course. This is the direction for me, that when I point to the south of here, its towards the Cedar City, UT, St George, UT and Mesquite,NV areas for the Southern UT SSB RT Net, (SWOT), that happens on Sunday evenings at 7:00 pm MST, on 144.250 USB. July 3rd, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
So.. This is where I ended up stopping work on it all for the day. Approximately 20-30 feet above the ground for now. Should.. as this next week goes along, have it all the way up yonderz at between 45-50 feet.. which is way above the power lines crap in my way. Until next times.. 73! July 3rd, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
This is how far I got with raising antenna up, back to where I originally was at 40-45 feet. Still have more pushup mast to go with it to get to my 60-65 feet with it. I be gradually getting there with it! July 16th, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
Another view zoomed in from ground level with it pushed up now at 40-45 feet. Still have more to do with it as soon as I can. July 16th, 2022.

(Pic below here info)
This is where I am at for right now, July 30th, 2022-23. Still have to make some bracing between lower top and higher bottom of upper mast. Its a little too wobbly for now to be any higher.

(Pic below here info)
This is where I am at for right now, July 30th, with my still having to work on the adapter part yet.
