**My latest antenna project as of July 13th thru 16th, 2021.**

(Pic below here, and on down info's)
As of July 13th, 2021.. I was in the process of building one of those 2 meter hour glass antennas, that I will use for 2 meter SSB and digital modes within that band. Time will tell if it works right, or not. As of July 16th, I finally got the thing put together and up at temporary testing place. Have not used it yet as to transmitting or recieiving. Was able to get the SWRs down to 1.4 on it at 144.200, even with where it is temporarly at by other stuffs. NOTE.. the pics below, were taken with my cell phone, and not my real camera.. FYI.

The starting of building and parts as construction started to be continued. Guess you would call this the main support mast spreader? The support frame I made out of 1 x 2 inch wood.

The top and bottom spreader holder pieces. The dots towards each end of it, mark where the wires hook and turn at on each one.

Mounting and glueing the top cross beam to the main mast.

Mounting and glueing the bottom cross beam to the main mast. Feed point will be down yonder here area.

All mounted and waiting for it to dry. Will be putting one screw in the middle of each support, for extra hold in glued areas.

This is the bottom cross section with center screw added. So far, nice and strong. The 2 outer screws are where the antenna wires will hook to for their turns, etc.

This is looking from the bottom feed point area towards the top with wire temporarly there for getting wires even at feed point area.

This is looking from the bottom feed point area with the connector in place. I used a SO239 mounting for coax connection. I also used the wood glue for holding the wire to the screw cross points at top and bottom. If you might be wondering.. what kind of wire I used? Well.. I have 2 100ft rolls of 18 guage stranded speaker wire.. and yes.. I used both of the wires and they are hooked together as one wire. What the heck.. it works! The 2 blue colored wires from the SO239 to each antenna wire leg, are 16 guage wire I had layin around.

This is where it is temporarly mounted outside on a fiberglass mast for testing purposes, until I figure out where I will finally mount it at. The 2 wood inverted "V" antennas above it, are where my 6 and 10 meter antennas are at. The HourGlass antenna is about at 20ft for right now.

That 10 element cross point looking beam is another experiment I have been doing, but its been waayyy too HOT outside lately to do much with it yet. Anyways... testing with the HourGlass antenna will begin over the next few dayz. Times will tell...
